Innisbrook Resort To Host 21st Annual ING Spring Conference May 22-26, 2011

Following a very historic ING Spring Conference at the most historic of all American golf destinations, the International Network of Golf will head south to Florida in 2011.
Innisbrook Resort, located just north of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area, will host the 21st Annual ING Spring Conference. The annual gathering of golf media and industry leaders is set for May 22-26, 2011 at Innisbrook, home of the PGA Tour’s Transitions Championship every March.
ING recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a rousing conference at historic Pinehurst Resort, host of the U.S. Open in 1999 and 2005.
““We are thrilled to host the 2011 ING Conference,” says Innisbrook’s Managing Director Lloyd Williams. “It gives us the opportunity to showcase all of our renovations and improvements – both on the golf courses and throughout the rest of the resort.””
This will be the second time the ING Spring Conference has taken place in Florida. The 2005 conference was held at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine.
"Salamander has spent a great deal of money refurbishing what is a classic golf resort,” said ING Executive Director Mike Jamison. “Our attendees are going to love the tranquil setting at Innisbrook, as well as the outstanding golf. Along with the nationally ranked Copperhead, which challenges the PGA Tour players year in and year out, there are three other great layouts, including the beautiful Island course.”
Approximately 175 people are expected at this annual gathering of media and golf industry leaders, conducted by the non-profit International Network Of Golf. The four-day conference is full of educational events, networking opportunities, product displays and tests, and lots of golf. The very popular ING One-On-One Appointment Show will return to the itinerary. The appointment show provides attendees a platform for private meetings to encourage business relationships. Also on the diverse ING itinerary will be workshops, speakers, the Demo Lab, the Food For Thought Breakfast, and the much more.

Innisbrook is one of America’s most celebrated Florida golf resorts. There are four outstanding layouts – all designed by the innovative and imaginative architect Lawrence Packard – including the top-rated Copperhead course, which welcomes the world’s finest players each March when the PGA TOUR visits Innisbrook for the Transitions Championship.
While PGA TOUR professionals call Copperhead one of the “Top Five” courses they play all year, Innisbrook members consider the Island Course to be even better. The resort recently completed a $2-million renovation on the Island, and it is the site of the LPGA Legend Tour’s first major championship.
