The non-profit International Network of Golf begins its third decade of serving golf media and golf companies with a full program at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando Jan. 27-29, 2011.

ClubING, the ING Hospitality Room, will be open in room 309-A throughout the three-day gathering of the golf industry at the Orange County Convention Center. The golf industry is invited to drop in and see what all of the ING buzz is about.

Sponsorships, product displays and more exposure opportunities are available to golf companies and associations in ClubING. For more information, call 407-328-0500, ext. 1.

ING has been networking the golf industry since 1990. ING’s mission is to enhance and promote communication and education in golf. Media members of all types and sizes comprise approximately 35 percent of the membership. The remaining members are people from every aspect of the golf industry.

Included in a busy ING schedule at the PGA Show will be two awards presentations. The 18th ING Media Awards will be announced at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 27. The 18th Annual ING Industry Honors will recognize achievement in a dozen categories at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

Also slated for ClubING will be two presentations by Jim Koppenhaver of Pellucid. His annual 2010 State of the Industry discussion will take place Friday, January 28 at 10:30-11:30 a.m. and again at 3:30-4:30 p.m. The Pellucid team will cover the basic metrics in the consumer base, rounds demand, supply absorption, weather impact and revenue for the golf industry, plus more.

Also on tap will be product displays, a Happy Hour Media Reception at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, and the introduction of a new educational structure for the annual ING Spring Conference.

ING will unveil plans for its 21st ING Spring Conference, set for beautiful Innisbrook Resort May 22-26, 2011. Several new elements of the conference will be unveiled, including a new format for educational sessions that will give attendees specific tools to improve their standing in the golf industry.

The PGA of America and PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions recently announced the addition of the PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit and several new business programs to the schedule of the 58th PGA Merchandise Show.

Carrying the theme, "Getting Results," the Summit will be conducted Monday, January 24 and Tuesday, January 25, and hosted by The Faldo Institute in Orlando, which is approximately three miles from the show venue, the Orange County Convention Center.

Among the new programs are: Four new product viewing areas; a new Fashion Showcase Gallery and stage; a new golf travel pavilion; a new Show entrance featuring golf product and fashion previews; and an all-new, user-friendly web site at www.pgashow.com to offer a resource of show-specific and year-round professional business tools. Additionally, special consideration has been give to offering up to 46 education, service and meeting MSR Credit opportunities for PGA Members during PGA Merchandise Show week to meet the requirements of The PGA of America MSR Credit cycle ending June 2011.

“Each year we introduce new programs and enhance returning programs based on feedback from attendees and exhibitors,” said Reed Exhibitions Senior Vice President and PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions General Manager Ed Several. “The PGA Merchandise Show traditionally serves as a catalyst for business in the new year and we are pleased to offer these new and improved programs for the industry to connect, learn and move their business forward in 2011.”
